WS.Remote terms of use
Version of 1 October 2026. These terms apply to the WS.Remote application for Windows and macOS ("the App") published by WS.COMPUTER. By downloading or using the App you accept these terms.
1. Free licence
WS.COMPUTER grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App to receive remote support, privately or in a business. No account and no payment are needed.
2. Who may give support
The function for connecting to other computers is reserved for WS.COMPUTER Support and for partners who hold a valid licence issued by WS.COMPUTER (for example employees, technicians and service partners).
Partner licences are personal, time-limited, non-transferable and may be withdrawn by WS.COMPUTER at any time. A partner may use the licence only for the purpose agreed with WS.COMPUTER and must not share it.
3. What is not allowed
You may not: (a) modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the App; (b) decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the App, except where the law expressly allows it; (c) remove, hide or change the names, logos, links and notices of WS.COMPUTER and GRUENCY shown in the App, in particular the links to ws.computer and gruency.com; (d) distribute modified copies of the App or offer the App under another name; (e) bypass the licence and signature checks; (f) use the App to access a computer without the knowledge and consent of the person using it, or for any unlawful purpose; (g) use automated tools, including AI systems, to analyse, extract or recreate the App's code, design, layout, menus or texts.
4. Intellectual property
The App, its code, design, the names WS.Remote, WS.COMPUTER and GRUENCY and the related logos are protected by copyright and other rights and remain the property of their owners. The licence does not transfer any of these rights to you.
5. Consent and responsibility
A connection starts only after the person at the computer clicks Allow, and that person can end it at any time with the End button. The person giving support is responsible for what they do during the session and must respect the privacy of the person they help.
6. Privacy
The App has no account and no analytics or advertising tracking. The picture, mouse and keyboard are sent directly between the two computers, end-to-end encrypted.
To connect the two computers, the connection server (Cloudflare) processes technical data — the support number, the IP addresses and the name of the person connecting — only for the time needed to establish the connection, and WS.COMPUTER does not store it. The App keeps its support number and, for partners, the licence on the computer.
7. No warranty, liability
The App is provided free of charge "as is", in a preview version, without any warranty. To the extent permitted by law, WS.COMPUTER is not liable for indirect damage, lost data or lost profits resulting from the use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
8. Breach
If you breach these terms, your licence ends automatically. WS.COMPUTER may block your access to the connection service and claim all remedies available under the law, including those provided by copyright law. Partner agreements may provide for contractual penalties.
9. Changes and law
WS.COMPUTER may update these terms; the current version is always published on this page. These terms are governed by Polish law. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
