One icon, nothing hidden
On a Mac each application is only a small icon in the menu bar. There are no setup windows. The only thing an app does unseen is the daily update check.
Minimal CPU use
In our tests Gauge uses about 1.9% of one processor core with two displays, and Scribe 0% while idle.
No data collection
No analytics and no tracking. GRUENCY collects no information about you or how you use the applications.
Automatic updates
Once a day each app checks for a new version and updates itself, with no windows or prompts. It sends only its version number.
Links, not adverts
A small strip at the bottom of each menu shows GRUENCY and WS.COMPUTER with links to both websites, next to Report a problem. Nothing else.

Shows each program that opens at login or runs in the background, one at a time, and asks whether you use it. Only the programs you keep remain.
One decision per item: keep or remove
Suggestions based on use: a program you rarely open is offered for removal, and one you use often can stay without starting at login, so it opens only when needed
A removed item goes together with its agents, background services, helpers and leftover files, not only its switch
Everything removed goes to the Bin, so it can be undone
On Windows it will also cover leftovers from uninstalled programs, unneeded startup entries and services whose application is gone

When you can download them
The applications will be free to download from this page once they are ready. Before release, the macOS versions will be signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple. They are free to use for any purpose; copying, redistributing, reselling or modifying them is not permitted.
